ImprovBoston Funny Money Campaign (improvboston.com)
ImprovBoston Youth Programs leverage the unique power of comedy and performance to nurture students’ innate curiosity, creativity, and ability to make connections with others. For a diverse group of youth spanning ages 5 - 18, we create a fun and supportive environment within which they can explore, develop, and succeed, contributing to their overall sense of well being and connectedness in relationship to their families and wider communities.

In these difficult times, it's great to have an inexpensive place to go to and laugh, participate and be surrounded by good people.
ImprovBoston is a place where anyone can learn to perform.
These youth classes are offered at half cost or no cost to Cambridge Public School students. The theater's generosity allows hundreds of children to learn the value of being part of a team, increase their communication skills and really learn to embrace their own ideas. I have seen students go from being ashamed or embarrassed by their own thoughts to being proud of their creativity & contributions. These kids are changed forever.
My 8yr old daughter took a workshop on puppetry through ImprovBoston, creating her own puppet and performing in an original semi-improvised puppet show! It's not just performing a show, its the skills learned in the process- relying on yourself, team work with others, etc. What a wonderful resource.
I wish there was an option for a government bailout of arts organizations that enrich their communities, like ImprovBoston does on a weekly basis. This would be the next best thing. We have to keep theaters like this running and successful and to make our world a better place. Vote!
ImprovBoston has built an amazing community of artists in the greater Boston area. I feel lucky to have been part of it.
Improv Boston is a positive force for good.
this place rocks!
a show without a script? SO FUN! and what a great outlet for kids to build self esteem, friendships, and imagination!
This sounds like the kind of project more areas should adopt.. I hope the little encouragement here helps towards spreading out the idea to more areas
I saw a show here recently, and it was amazing! I can't believe there's no script.
I've seen improv make a huge difference in how kids (and adults) view themselves. It's incredibly transformative.
