Voyagers, Inc. is a philanthropic organization established to commit its resources to activities which are intended to benefit children, including gifted children, who are home schooled. Founded in 1999, We represent a radical model of education; succesfully supporting families in educating their children. We have served several hundred families in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire providing community and educational resources for a range of students including gifted and special needs students. Massachusetts does not provide gifted education in its public schools. Operating on a budget of less than $100,000 per year, we are staffed entirely by volunteers. We run four co-operative programs, a resource center, Mock Trial and Math Teams and offer close to one hundred study groups per week that are taught by parents, students or professionals. Membership is open to all and financial aid is offered through the generosity of our members. Students moving on from Voyagers have pursued a variety of careers from theoretical physics to horse training and all of those who have desired to attend college have been successful in acceptance and graduation.
